exhaust compatability

<< < (2/3) > >>

mtf:
my bike is a cb750k sohc 1st registered 1980

mtf:
engine and frame numbers 1977 but registered in the uk 1980 import maybe ?

Bryanj:
Thats a K7 then and could have been "old" stock as they didn't sell well, I think the mountings on that one were unique so without much modding you will need a specific aftermarket system, Motad or somesuch but specify it as 77 or you will get the wrong one

mtf:
thanks appreciate the help

Yoshi823:
I think that the two bikes in question may well be the CB750K7 & the CB750F2B. With the cylinder heads being completely differant I doubt if there is any compatibilty.

But if you were lucky enough to find some CB750F2 4 into 1 downpipes these could be used with a custom made silencer. I had such a silencer made for me by John Campbell of Campbell Geometrics when they used to be in Dartford in Kent. John now works out of a workshop in a car MoT place in Chelsfield in Kent making stainless steel exhaust systems for bikes, cars & one-offs.
