Lobo:
Thanks all - appreciated.

Yep Julie, I believe the bike to be a UK model.
The numbers…
Chassis No. CB7502077106
Engine No. CB 75E2241656

There indeed seems to be a mismatch?

Ta,
Simon

Think that you will find that because the UK continued with the K2 model until the K6 arrived, that from around 72 to 75/6 all UK bikes would have had frame numbers in the 20******** range and as such the engine No's would have been in the 20********* for 72 but in 73 the engine No's would have changed to 22****** series in 74 23******* etc.

So you need to check what year the bike was first registered as you may well find that it has the correct engine and frame No's for a UK bike of that year.

Lobo:
Interesting Julie / Sprinta - I had never thought about this, my UK K2 was first registered in June 1973.

Is the general consensus then, that my mid ‘73 K2 has its original engine then?

Frame  No. CB7502077106
Engine No.CB 75E2241656

Many thanks,
Simon

All UK CB750 K2's would of had frame/Vin numbers 20****** or in vary late 1974 and 1975 the frame/VIN numbers 21******  ;D

Yes Simon, By our records your UK K2 has matching numbers .

Lobo:
Wow, this forum is amazing.
Thanks Julie! (and indeed all…)
