Getting top end vapor blasted. Leave valve guides in?

On all my builds I've just used elbow grease with various abraids and solvents/petrol. Very time consuming but satisfying when the end product turns out well. Always take all the oil plugs and blast all directions of oil ways with jet wash several times.
