So what your saying is if I understand you correctly that 750 calliper won't fit onto a 550 ?
Actually, you can use a 750 caliper on a 550 if a 750 rotor is used, provided the 750 caliper uses the later mounts. This will give additional braking due to the larger 296mm vs 276mm diameter.
