There are some cracking rides in The Royal Forest of Dean, especially the road from Staunton to Monmouth either up or down. Roads IN the Forest can be a nightmare due to free roaming sheep and apparently Wild Boars nowadays.

Oooh yes, the boar can be vicious and the sheep have absolutely no road sense

One takes it you have traversed through The Royal Forest of Dean on occasion ? I did so in the distant past and came into close contact with sheep which caused me much aggravation and expenditure when it headbutted the front of my then car. It croaked so did my No claims👹.

Sheep up there are a bit scabby and after I’d mangled it there’s no way it’d be fit for the table and my car was wearing more of it’s wool than the sheep was👹☠ï¸😱
