I did over 22 years of shift work, continentals, 3 shift and for 2/3 years before I retired from my main job  12 hour shifts 2 days 2 off 2 nights 2off. That was worse than 7 nights like before.
Consequently my body clock is messed up.

I just tell people my body clock battery is flat but they aint inserting a new one!

I don't go to bed till very late, most days around 3-4am. I don't get up early unless I have something planned, can't see the point. After many years on nights my body has adapted to this regime and I tend to fall back into the rhythm whenever I have more than a few weeks off work. To counter that I will work late till 1-2am on the bike if I'm in the mood.

I'm glad that it not just me that does that. Always been a bit of a night owl. 🦉
