When I have seen Sandcast engines the fins always seem to look flatter & smoother somehow - that was my opinion after seeing one at the Stafford Show.

They are totally different Ted. Sandcast head and barrels and crank cases are as rough as a bears arse and that's just one difference ☺ï¸â˜ºï¸â˜ºï¸

Maybe the one at the show had been over polished then - it seemed to have fewer casting web marks as well. It looked super Matt.
