Carburettor Repair and Set up in South Yorkshire
DavidDeb:
Good evening. I have just joined this group after purchasing a 1978 Cb750 Supersport
I live in Doncaster and looking for a classic specialist to carry out a strip down and set up of the Carbs
Oddjob:
I think you'll need to give more info mate, which model, presume by the SuperSport tag it's a CB750F but which one, F1 or F2. It could also be fitted with carbs off a K model as that's one mod a lot of owners did due to problems with the F model carbs.
Maybe a pic would help so they can be identified.
DavidDeb:
Thanks for the reply
It’s a Supersport F2 and Carbs look original
Previous owner was a friend who had it 20 years and really never used it apart from the odd run
I am just looking for a local garage that I can trust to get them serviced and set up
Bike starts on the button and ticks over but slight fuel leak from the pipe at the bottom of one of the carbs
McCabe-Thiele (Ted):
Might just be a sticking float needle from lack of use & old petrol.
Moorey:
As you are in Doncaster have a word with either Neil or Kev at Doncaster motorcycles. https://www.doncastermotorcycles.co.uk/
