Stand spring slack ?

SPR:
So I had the centre stand powder coated and managed to stretch the ends of the old spring - no problem ordered a new genuine one

Used the coin method and got the new spring on and tbh I think it is too loose .... the stand doesn’t hold tight against the exhaust and “floats” easily

I’m worried that when riding if it will bounce around

Not sure what I’ve done as I only extended it to get the coins in and then pulled them straight out ? Will the spring tighten up ? Or should I just order another

Not sure if you can see from the 2nd picture - it doesn’t reach the rubber pad on the exhaust at all

Just fitted my centre stand spring & it pulls it well up to the swing arm on my virtually bare frame. Is the curved plate end where the spring is attached on correctly?

Did you fit it in the up position or down?

Yep - all bits look correct and the spring longer end bend is at the bottom

I fitted it in nearly the up as that seemed the least pull required to get it over the tang
