I haven't got OCD Roo, I'm just a perfectionist when it comes to my bikes.

Need to start building up some of those bits now, I can finally fit the clocks on the bracket now. Fit the steering lock into the bottom yoke etc. Then I'll start to see how the bikes going to look. Might spur me on a bit.

Think I'll start to sell a few parts that aren't needed, the cost of all this powder/ceramic coating is mounting up.

I had a word with them regarding getting my crankcases done, I asked if I prepped them could they not blast them with media BUT it's part of their process and it's a way of ensuring the ceramic sticks, they did suggest doing them like they prep for anodising though, an acid etch, so looks like I'm going that way. I'll start having some of the bolt on parts done first, oilpan, filter housing, oil gallery caps, maybe even the camcover. I'm going for a contrast look, silver crankcases, satin black barrels and head, silver camcover with mirror polished tappet covers and endcaps and all the bolt on bits will be black if they bolt to silver and silver if they bolt to black.

Oh forgot to mention ,barrel and head fins along with oil filter housing fins will be polished on the edges. Not bothering with the oil pan ones, you can go OTT after all

That satin finish is great. My local powder coater normally does that type of satin which is my preferred option as well!

These CB1300 gold wheels are lovely! Ted, did you have these rims coated or were they purchased coated?
Loving the contrast with rim and spokes.

 The 400 Hubs are powder coated in a sort of chrome/Ally colour, rims are Gold Anodized Alloy from CWC.

I wanted the Hubs the same gold colour but they did not have a close match in powder coating options.

ANy idea what the RAL colour code is for that finish Ted?

Sorry no it was a standard powder coat  colour that CWC had in the display cabinet - they labeled it as Chrome Effect.

Could you ask them Ted? It's very close to the original colour IMO.

It has no RAL number as it's not a colour - just called Chrome Effect PC.
