I dont have a sprocket cover for my latest project, and dont want one but will the oil seal stay in place without it.
Im going to order one if it will or rethink if it wont.

The oil seal fits in the sprocket cover. Yes you can run with out one but, shite gets in the bearings
Just looked at mine and it has a sprocket cover powder coated black. Hard to see when the hub is black .
