I know Honda UK don't do it now, I think it's must be quite a few years back they stopped doing it for imports, I not sure when though.
Most people seem to get it done by Honda Owners Club, or VJMC, they can also issue certificates that are accepted by DVLA.

Thats interesting, I wonder if Honda have been uploading or updating info to a computer system?

It took less than a week for Honda to source the info but if the info wasn’t available a 6 week period was stated to get info from Japan it cost me £36 not £35 😁

I think it great they were able to provide you with the info. £36 isn't that bad either.
