Craizeehair:
The bike is pretty much back together and does fire up very easily but the left hand side is not very hot at all. It does seem to be firing as it will run on the left side only but very badly and wants to die if you don’t keep on the throttle. I tried adjusting the air screws but to be honest I’m pretty clueless as this is my first dabble, I was pretty sure the carbs needed another going through but as I had bought a carbtune, I thought I would stick it on and see what it looked like. I didn’t expect such a massive discrepancy between the two sides!!

Back to the drawing board and I will be starting again with the carbs.

I do also have a vacuum leak at the air intakes, I managed to get it better but still not 100%, so it looks like I’m going to get new air filters as well, the rubber is pretty distorted and the glue has lost lots of its stick.

Should be fun.

McCabe-Thiele (Ted):
Mght be a blocked jet on that carb.

When serviced the 250/360 had a nasty habit ot the points shorting out on the points cover, cant remember how many times i have seen the covers lined with insulating tape

That’s interesting Bryan, I might try it with the cover off and see if that makes any difference.

Bryanj:
Always worth a try first
