Starter motor not starting engine.
K2-K6:
What's it actually doing when it doesn't start ?
Spinning fast and no engine turn.....see Bryan's note.
Going slowly and slipping while turning the engine a bit......can still be battery if it's not up to thumping out some juice, needed to get the sprag clutch biting well.
Any chance of using jump leads onto it to assess the above ?

You can remove the starter clutch from through the sump, without even removing the engine. It’s a little tricky but possible.

Good. But it still sounds a bit out of my league, I don't even have a garage. I may wait for it to be part of a wider job and pretend I'm back on an RS250 or RG500 again for now. ;D
