Personal Messages not marked as read

No matter what I do, the personal messages I get and read always come up as unread and hence I get a message saying you have a new personal message.
Any clues on how to get over this?

Could someone tell me how to stop the 'you have a personal message' appearing on the site when I log in! It's really annoying!
If I delete the message, it doesn't work!

Are you sure you haven't got an unread message somewhere in your list? This has happened to me on the padt where it kept saying 'unread message' and indeed, I did have 1 unread message a page back.

I use Google Chrome on my PC & Laptop I've not had your unread  message problems. I assume your O.S. & Google Chrome are up to date.

I will have a look in the database Matt.

I’ve had a lot of issues since “Oddjob-gate” with database inconsistencies.

My phone consistently tells me (Tapatalk) that there is an unread post when there isn’t.
