Speedo speaking with forked tongue

As I approach 20mph and onto 30mph my speedo starts wagging within about a 5mph field, enough to cost a lot of money in London today. What might be wrong, is this something Gauge Restorers could fix?

isn't it caused by weakened magnets. All my old gauges do this, especially on my Land Rover.
