There are reports ( delta rider ) that an in line filter ( not fitted by Honda) can negatively affect running. The filter gauze on the tap inlet is very fine so I have been relying on that with no issues so far. Used the planet silicon hoses on eBay as recommended by Julie.

Never had an issue with inline filters, don’t see the problem personally and there’s no restriction to flow as I checked so not sure where that’s come from. Might have had a duff one.

On my 400 I used an alloy in line filter as the plastic one fell to bits.
Alankelly1 recommended them.

Yeah, cheers for that, they’re a bit dear then you’ve to send it at silly costs. I priced that out of the search fairly quickly but cheers for the info nonetheless the less.

Received the above fuel tap and can confirm it isn't the correct tap for my fuel tank, the threaded nut is too big.  If anyone wants it for what it owes me let me know.

I think mine must be a 16mm thread rather than the 20mm that this tap is, why I didn't think to measure first I don't know.

Sorry to hear Dom - there are a couple of different tap outlet sizes and my 550 k1 is this 20mm. Bummer.

Oh no probs David, even the filter gauze wouldn't fit through the tank spigot so I'm hoping a 16mm version has a thinner gauze tube.
