Pretty sure I have seen that non-iso 2k clear in a can Dom .. will check.

Decent video here on masks:-

I've done a basic magnet test on my tank as I suspected its got quite a bit of filler in it, sure enough it has some areas with far weaker magnetism,  the question is do I just sand it back to get a key before painting it of bite the bullet and go back to bare metal and refill all areas?

AshimotoK0:
I wouldn't personally trust anyone else's filler .. I would strip it all and do it yourself ... then you know it's good and you don't waste all of your effort if it delaminates at some point.

McCabe-Thiele (Ted):
I agree with Ash. I would strip the paint off first then you will see the true extent of filler used.
Once stripper has been used to remove paint it can be absorbed into the filler surface with the potential for future paint reaction/bubling problems.

I've no recent experience of removing old filler, newer products might bond quite well to good metal. I did a spell in a bodyshop back in 1974/5 when the panel beaters/sprayers used molten lead as the filler. I did the sanding down afterwards to shape the curves of the panels. I found it rewarding doing the preparation and primer coat.

DomP:
Thanks Chaps.  Molten lead, I've a feeling my tank would weigh a ton with that as a filler😀
