paint on engine block

hi can any body tell me  should the engine block and head be painted or not as i am trying to keep my cb 750 original as i restore it any help would be appreciated

Crank cases, head, barrels rocker cover and breather all painted, with side casings being polished.
Simoniz SIMVHT31D is the best paint product to use.

Then follow the baking instructions.

I did the Pyrotechnic Oven cycle clean first - added Brownie points gained - (didn't want to risk any discolouration from cooking spills).

If I'm reading the instructions correctly the aluminium is only good up to 120°C ? Is this correct and is that hot enough?

Yes, that's plenty. Even internally the temps when running only reach 150-200°c, the exterior surfaces of the engine reach considerably less.
