Sorted now he bought one from Sayonara Cycles in Germany that I found for him £200 by the time it gets to the UK ...Ouch!

Yup, import duties + handling fee + VAT soon puts a few extra quid on the total cost.  Except they have to be paid before you get the item.
I ended paying 55 quid extra on a £208 pound seat from the Netherlands.

Best not to think about it.

Heiden Tuning - very good service for Yamaha xs650 spares.

The 55 quid went to the uk gov.  Not the people making the goods.
