Loves finding a patch of sun in the garden and sunbathing. 14 years old now, unfortunately old age catching with with her, like the rest us she’s in denial.

I would love a dog as brought up with them during childhood and beyond. I thought we'd get one once I'd retired but I now appear to be out and about more then when I was working!
However, when mum very sadly passed away in June at the grand age of 91 she left her budgie called Monty 'orphaned'. We took him home and here he is now. He's a very happy little soul, always singing (and always it seems during bike racing on TV) and he is a last link to mum.
I know he's not a dog and I can't take him for a walk but he does send tweets🦜🙂

Iv decided not to use the bikes for awhile as not having much luck lately.
Used the pegaso and someone tried to steal it from Colchester. Luckily being Italian it went into self district mode and the front sprocket came off before it even moved 6 feet.
Thursday night some scumbag traveler stole my transit tipper.
Today I went to take my recently purchased Tiger for it's maiden voyage and binned it joining the road behind my house.  ;D

Went out to the town to go to the shops and was annoyed to find I have a mis-fire on one of the cylinders at 4000rpm.  I hadn't ridden for about three weeks because the rain has been terrible here.  Just goes to show, can't even leave it that long without incurring trouble.  It seemed to be getting better after about seven miles so hopefully just some moisture in the carbs.  Will drain them down later and see if improves, otherwise it's carbs off again, a job I loath.

Great to see all the forum dogs! 🐾
I hadn't realized there was a dog show going on!  ;D during the summer I was volunteered by a friend who had rescued three seriously neglected dogs to adopt the oldest one, a toothless. deaf and partially sighted Shih Tzu called Gucci , although I thought that was Gouchie because I can't read Italian and thought Gucci was pronounced Gookee. Lord knows how old she is but she is rather fit really and sure as hell loves me, even if I'm a terrible hairdresser!

Apologies, it’s not a Honda or SOHC.
Managed a blat on the Francis Barnett Merlin yesterday. It's 1948, Villiers engine, rigid frame, girder forks.
It’s 3bhp, but such good fun to ride. The hand gear change is still a bit of a challenge, but it’s one of those bikes that makes you grin ear to ear when you're on it. It’s happiest at about 30mph, although allegedly it will do 40mph. Weather looks great today here in the South but it is getting a bit nippy for me.
Hope Santa 🎅🏼 bought you those bike bits you were after. Happy New Year!

That's class👍.Hand change, that's brave 🫡.
My old CB250RSA used to be an absolute hoot to ride between 30-50mph as is my RE650,. You don't need a lot of power to have fun if you are on the right bike 😊.

That’s a great looking old steed, love the old stuff too with the simple engineering. My old Matchless g3 certainly puts a smile on my face, unless there’s a bit of audience when your trying to start it and you know you’ve flooded it!🤣
