Great pics and photography John, the insects you mention in the first pic appear to be Paraspiders ( creepus fallum ) which have eight legs and one wing, so they are anachrids!
by the way, Hippy Bathday!

I used to hang-glide off there in the 70s and 80s. Tough climb up with the dangle glider on your shoulder!

On recent trips to Wales I called in at the 2 Baffle Haus cafe locations. One is near Abergavenny  and the other one on the A48 west of Cardiff (Old Post). Great atmosphere,  good food and not ridiculous prices either. They're part owned by George North, the Welsh rugby international and keen bike fan.

Yes John, I met him a couple of times before he went onto powered hang-gliders.
