Nice to see the 500 out mate
It has been a little naughty,

Dribbling carbs, always the inside pair,

But

Touch wood,

I did 60 miles, running sweetly, and dry

Slight oil drip were I over oiled the chain

Had a lovely ride out today but the heat was unreal, even with just my  jacket and a t shirt underneath and moving along I was just too hot. It might be time to invest in some lighter gear.

After stopping up at the Flash cafe we then happened upon a Sunday meeting at the Bulls Head, it's somewhere in the Peak district.

Some of you may recognise it.

Monyash just outside Bakewell?
One day I'll have the time to restore it, not just talk and dream....

Aye,
Monyash it is, we were on the way from Winsford to Retford and trying to avoid main roads.
Trouble is with sat nav you input A to B without looking at a paper map and therefore have no idea where you are.

Anyway the Peak District is really nice for motorcycling.

Funny that you mentioned the Mach Loop, John.
I'm just back from holiday in West Wales and I spent a day at the loop.
These are my attempts at getting some photos,  the jets are not hanging about!

looks lovely John, I know that part for the world from rides in my youth.

I've been out on the bike today but being a few years away from retirement, I get to ride to......the shops.  Still better than nothing and it's country lanes all the way.

From Hull P&O ferry terminal to the Border crossing on the A68 was our longest ride in a day at about 200 miles.
Pleasant enough when avoiding motorways etc.

The RAF jets in the 1st and 2nd photo I recognise.

They're Czech made Aero L-39's, now very old technology and mostly sold to third world countries.

I often see them flying across here, the Czech Airforce now use them for pilot training.

I'm pretty sure that they are Bae Hawk T2 trainers from RAF Valley.
