Thinking a good clean up and a blob of solder.

My fix was a small domed copper nail head or rivet soldered into place, works perfectly

Mine was snapped off so pretty much beyond saving, Roo came to my rescue with an exchange of Dosh from his stash.👍

That's a good save, my contact  was snapped off so more than half the hole for the contact was missing.

Yes Ted I was cheffed with the outcome but it was fiddly, the pin head pinged off the sprung contact a couple of times 😳 but amazingly I found it again. Don’t think my soldering iron was heating very well, had to flash by with a torch flame a couple of times to final melt the solder. Just to add if anybody else has to carry out this repair don’t leave more than couple of mm on the back of pin, ask me how I know! It’s amazing how much the sprung contact has to compress to allow neutral position.
