Like not really understanding how our Microwave Oven works, the workings of the Boyer system is beyond me.
What is obvious is it's a highly regarded option to the standard points based system.

what the effective duty cycle (dwell) is,
how much amps that B&B kit draws with the engine running (OEM coils), both at idle and revved and
if more erosion at the sparkplug's electrodes is to be expected.
Is that info public? By B&B?

They don't, as far as I'm aware anyway, state the dwell technical specifications.
Older system (previous available, unsure if still sold) used OEM coils, the new system don't ordinarily. You'd need to ask a) availability of OEM coil type b) what they do with dwell.
One of the significant reason for using a fully electronic system, not hybrid or mechanical triggered electronic is to separate dwell characteristics from engine rpm scale. That, in mechanical systems forces a compromise in coil resistance etc in order to mitigate the compromise. By taking full control within electronic components, then that can be effectively static/stabilised, leading a more optimised requirement for the coil, then producing consistency in spark across the rpm scale.
A lower resistance coil specification will allow for a shortened dwell in balancing that aspect, without excess saturation and attendant current draw going toward heat losses through the coil.
Their system is balanced with their component set.
