Has anyone bought one?
Just wondering what the fit / quality is like before I possibly get one for my 550.

I fitted one to my 500, IIRC it has slightly bigger bottom fittings with rubber eyes, mine fitted after a bit of a struggle.

It was getting the stays to sit right that was a fiddle, link to my post, unfortunately the photo was deleted by me on Flickr.

I did wonder if they ever altered the tank design from the supplier after your fitting problems.

Could I use my existing stays on the new mudguard?

If it helps I did eventually get the stays to fit, I loosened the stay to fender bolts considerably, the main culprit was the end of one stay where the metal is doubled up, the back layer was a tad on the wide side. I did not want to grind off the excess as that would have removed the chrome plating. A small amount of extra bend angle on the fork end of the stay enabled it to fit, I then tgihtened up the stay to fender brackets last.

I think DSS is big and organised enough to supply some instructions from the start when these things are needed.  :o

Mine fitted ok.  It was a bit of a wrestle to get the stays on to the fork but not too difficult
