CB750K6 Button for Horn Switch
« on: May 15, 2025, 10:17:16 AM »
Hi, I'm looking for a Honda plastic horn button. It's a little curved piece of plastic. It has a slit that slides over the horn trigger arm (that emerges from inside the handlebar switch unit). It also has a little hole in its underside, for a screw to pass through and screw into the trigger arm to hold it on.

Mine cracked and fell apart at the screw hole. It doesn't have to be for a K6 model, just something that wouldn't look out of place.

Even some modern bikes use indicator buttons that look similar. I've tried breakers yards, with no luck so far.

Thanks, Martin

I ran my 550 for 30 years without this button just the metal arm protruding! A Good Samaritan by the name of Ken (Oddjob) came to my rescue by selling me a complete used unit with the button on it. I’m a bit paranoid now that the screw that holds it on is going to come loose and I’m going to lose it.😂
Good luck with the hunt!

Thanks, I've adapted a little rubber RAM mount bolt cap for the time being. Snug on the trigger arm, with a small hole drilled underneath for the keeper screw. So I don't have to look at the bare arm. Looks OK actually. My bike isn't concours at all, but I'd like to find the proper button, if possible, or at least something more long term.

If you want a stainless steel screw and nut I'll post one FOC as well if you want. No more rusty head rounding off.

Thank you, but I have managed to save the original screw and nut, they were still on the arm. 👍

Thank you @Toko_Jo. The button arrived safely this morning. I'm just heading to the garage to fit it.

Very kind. Hope I can return the favour. 👍
