Where to sell
« on: June 10, 2025, 09:13:19 AM »
Hi All,

I'm thinking of selling my cb550 and I'm trying to work out the best place to sell it. There was a time I put it on ebay but I'm not convinced that's much good anymore so just wonder what others experience is?. Sadly moving at the end of the year and can't take both bikes!.

Also any ideas on prices its a US import cb550 74 k0. (its registered with me as the first owner) Its in nice condition not original colour and some modifications but do have most of the original parts. I'll take some pictures if that help?

Just some of the bits its had hard chrome plated forks, stainless steel rims + tyres and Delkevic exhaust

A member here used a trade buyer, can't remeber who it was, not the highest price but no tyre kickers wasting your time.

I've just sold my C50 LAC on car and classic - over 500 views in 3 weeks, only one respondent where I don't think the lift went to the top floor and then a great chap from the Durham area jumped in, paid up and it's now on it's way with our excellent couriers.  I've had success with that site on 4 or 5 occasions now and is completely free.  The number of views was far more than it got sitting in my Shed!  Give it a shot - you've nowt to lose!

Do you mean this one Ian, they do auctions and priced adverts?

Hi Ted,
Yes, just the free advert bit, not used the auction part - I think that's the bit you pay for.

I just took some clear pics - about 9 in all, together with a detailed description and just sat back.  I was in no rush and it didn't matter if no one replied.  It means that I have a brand new Lifan 110 cc electric start engine for sale now with all ancillaries.  I had intended fitting this to the C50 for Christine to use but She has given up riding now.
