PARTS ORDER FROM CSM HOLLAND
« on: June 18, 2025, 09:17:09 AM »
Hi Everyone,
I am sure loads of people have put a order in to CSM Holland for parts I have a order for just over £100 pounds for Grommets,Bushes & another bits and bobs to finish building the frame up , I see from the site its all shipped by DHL and that the VAT is paid at 20% which is all good. The question is there any import duty into the uk on the total ????

Thanks for your help
Nige

I think the fact you have paid VAT will mean no extra duty,

I am not so sure. If I would order from DS, I expect to pay VAT ofcourse and - above a certain amount - to have import tax added when it enters the EU.
BTW, in the US the big chief is constantly misleading the public. He sees tariffs anywhere, even when it is the normal 20% VAT which us, all Europeans have to pay. He is not willing to accept we just don't want American cars (for a good reason) and neither chlorinated chicken.

Would you know if it's the same vice versa?

Each country has its own import rules, you need to ask the relevant tax authorities in the country concerened

It’s the value plus postage plus vat that makes up the £135 rule Nige. So if the total is under you’re ok, over and you’re paying import duty.
