Hi Ken,

I haven't been on this site for ages as
a. my 400/4 just works
b. I'm desperately trying to get my T160 restoration finished so I can ride before the weather breaks.
As a result I had no idea of your illness until I had a chat with Roo this morning.
However I'm really pleased to hear that you are improving daily from what must have been a horrible experience for you and your loved ones.
Keep improving and I'll pop in here a bit more regularly from now on to keep up to date with your progress.

Try not to be too hard on Roo, he can't help it.

My daughter is going out with someone from Lancashire, should I be concerned?

Attached is a pic of the T160 to show I haven't been shirking.

Best wishes

Tim

Hi Ken,
Glad to hear from Roo and Stacy that things are slowly improving for you.  I don't know why Multiman seems worried that his Daughter is going out with a Lancastrian (I married one!) and lots of good things have come out of Lancashire - like the road back to Yorkshire to name one!

Anyway, keep up the good progress and we all look forward to seeing you back on here.

Ian

Hey guys sorry I didn’t reply it’s been a bit of a whirlwind! We managed to get dad home so he’s okay recuperating at home just a slow journey with physio! He’s a bit annoyed as his tastebuds have changed so he said things taste like crap 😂 but hopefully that improves soon! He’s got a way to go before he’s tinkering with his bike and polishing parts with his dremel but he will get there soon no doubt

Thank you all for your well wishes and thoughts it’s very much appreciated and I’m sure he will be on at some point to say the same as well

Big love to you all!

Stacy x

Hi Stacey & Family

That's great news Kens made it home but he will be disappointed that his favourite bacon butty is not tasing the same as it was 8 wks ago may be more sauce is need 😂 with it ?.   You all been on journey no one wants to have to do but you got him home and his recovery journey now begins with his loving family around him hopefully physio will get him on light polishing and feltting over the coming weeks & months.

We all have missed him on here for sure. Take care Ken look fwd to catching up with you soon.....

Best wishes

Thanks for filling us in with an update, not very encouraging to eat without taste, hopefully that will gradually return along with the health and fitness. He will be glad to be home I’m sure.

Back in 1987 I was having a drug called Vincristine plus a few others, it slowly killed off my taste buds (they recovered over time) I was eating Chicken Vindaloo and having Anchovies on toast as I could just get a hint of taste.😂

Nope, I’m in the hate Marmite class.

Still struggling to find things I can eat. Drinking protein drinks a lot plus fruit. Strawberry and Banana combo is nice.

Getting stronger, gonna tackle the bottom stair tomorrow. Another month and I may be able to sleep upstairs again, can’t wait.

Thanks all for the well wishes and positive thoughts, I’ll be back before you know it.
