Loose mirrors.

Bradders:
My mirrors on my 400/4 have come loose at the mirror end where they are attached to the stalk. I can’t for the life of me see a way to tighten them back up. Can it be done or is it a case of new mirrors? Thanks.

I think the ball joints have worn out. Time for new mirrors I'd say.

I prefer these because the arm can be adjusted on the go or folded inwards when the bike is in the garage to save keep banging into them

With any aftermarket part, check the thread size, some are M8 or M10

I've got mirrors like that Dave. The trouble with them is that those screws and their pits are rust traps.  :o  I give mine a reguar shot of the ACF-50.

Stainless hex socket cap screws....


The original screws seemed to be made of soft cheese anyway.
