Yikes,

Looks like someone rubbed. It down for paint, found a hole then gave up.

Onto the next unsuspecting punter.

Was it originally red or yellow? If red not worth it but if yellow it will undoubtedly be a bolt on performance part and as such is vastly underpriced imho.......😉

I think it was RUST first😂, but no problem as it does say ‘Buy with confidence’ on the web site 🤣
Confident that you are having your pants pulled down I would say.

Mount it on a pedestal, exhibit it in a modern art museum entitled "Tanks for the Memory - Rust in Peace".  Should fetch a decent price, then go and buy something worthwhile.

Guess you have to ride like Ron Haslam and get home before all the fuel has drained away.  Happened to me once - gonads and left thigh soaked in petrol and feeling quite chilled.  None standard seat base had rubbed though the bottom left corner.

Something similar occured to Nigel Mansel when he drove the Lotus GP car in his first FI race. The fuel tank split and he was bathed in petrol for a lot of the race. When he got out of the car his skin had stuck to the inside of his race suit.

Had a fuel leak on a Gpz1100. Blocked return valve for the DFI caused the return pipe to split. Stopped at a red light and saw a steady jet of fuel hosing the car next to me.....Riding along, it blew all over my leg. Stopped...it hosed whatever was to my right. Lucky I had a full tank and not too far to go!
