CB100N Carb
« on: December 19, 2025, 11:48:31 AM »
After it standing for a long time I decided to ultrasonically clean the carb on my CB100N. The bike had been running. The carb was cleaned, when I did it I put all the small parts in a mesh cage in the cleaner. When I went to rebuild the carb there was a small washer at the bottom of the tank which must have come out of the carb during cleaning. I have looked at the Haynes manual but it is slightly confusing. I am assuming that the washer belongs to the 'Pilot jet set', (number 6 on the diagram attached). The manual shows two "gaskets", I am not sure what this means. I assembled the jet as per the photos attached thinking that the washer and o ring are the only parts which fit the jet. Any ideas if this is correct please? The bike will now not run at all. The screw was set at two and a half turns out, the float set at 12.5mm. Thanks in advance.

Should have added there was no o ring in the carb to start with but I thought maybe there should be if it is a "gasket" as referred to in the manual.

Looks very much like the pilot jet on the PD carbs and you have the assembly correct as the washer protects the O ring from the spring.

When setting mixture you must only turn in the screw VERY lightly oryou will damage thethe thin tip and seat

Thank you. It seemed the logical thing to do.
