If its already depreciated to that price, then likely you could have a year or so with it and not have too much drop, even if you decided it didn't ultimately suit you.

Doesn't look a bad risk to me, something different to ride is always fun too  ;D

Tasty looking bike Mick.  Make sure it has a FSH with that mileage, they need good quality oil at regular service intervals, same with the valve clearance checks (really easy to do).
There are a good few to choose from on ebay with a lot lower miles on them.  If its an early bike (2019) make sure all the gears are there as some, not all, of the early bikes had a bit of an issue with the top gear.
Seriously though you won't go wrong for the money, apart from the early model glitch there have been no issues as far as I know.
I agree with you about the alloy finish to the wheel rims, I think the spoke wheels with the original paint finishes suit the bike better than cast wheels and the updated colour schemes and blacked out engines unless its been customised with extras to make it stand out.

Here you go Mick. It's actually a Continental GT but with some tasty mods including the interceptor handlebars and footrests. Nice TEC pipes as well. Cheap for what you get......

Hi Dave, I have that one on my watch list but it's a long way from Scunny.seen another one in Wales that I like also but again distance is the difficulty. I have definitely decided to get one it's just choosing the right one.

these are the other contenders https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/168734782472
and https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/137826339214
The red one has few miles and less mods but over budget. however less than an hour from me in Lincolnshire. the other is in Wales and really looks nice, a few sensible mods and on budget but far away. the continental Dave mentioned has most of the desirable mods but again far away. Any recommendations for couriers?

love the alloy rims and mudguards. are the engines the same as the normal interceptor? think this is my fave, just worried about the riding position with lower bars.

Tillstons is where I buy my new bikes from Mick. Decent dealership.

Old man Tillstons got a great personal collection of old bikes in a separate building.

All good bikes Mick and ultimately it will be down to personal choice.
The big advantage of buying local is of course the travelling time but if you buy from further away it will give you a chance to get to know the bike and you won't be in a hurry to get home will you. I rode my VFR800 home from Halifax to west London in one hit and by the time I got home I knew the bike.
One thing to mention about the continental is the low bars, I read test reports they can make your wrists really ache. That's why I liked the continental fitted with the interceptor bars, all the looks of the conti but without the pain🙂.
An excellent courier is Chas Mortimer. He can offer different deals, if you are not in a hurry he can schedule the pick up and collection to when he is in the area on another job, bring it back to his secure warehouse and store it until he delivers it to your area on other jobs. He can of course collect and deliver at the same time if that's what you want. A very helpful guy who is also fully insured and has the specialist vans.

been reading some reviews on the gt and some say riding position ok. hitchcocks do a conversion kit to normal bars. the bike that has the conversion done and has extras is tempting, but just look at the blue one, its so pretty with its alloy rims and chrome headlamp.
