I tried an old triumph one but it was too big, I might try and find another but until then I'll make an adapter on the lathe

If it's a genuine Phil Read tank they were made by a bloke near Dartford who used to make tanks for barry Sheene. He made my tank & tail unit for my 750F2 special & said that the tap stub is designed to take the standard CB750F1 fuel tap.
