Any one got any clues about the wiring to the starter button on cb 750, it wasn't connected when I got the bike but it seems there's 2 wires but only one place for a wire to go on the switch

Yes, one of them goes to an ignition controlled live (only gets power with ignition ON) and the other goes to the handlebar switch, which when pushed earths through the bars and completes the circuit energising the solenoid ;D

BE CAREFULL there are two totaly different types of wiring depending on model and age
