Clutch slip

(1/1)

Norniron:
Hi guys,im really enjoyin my 400 cafe, but im getting bad clutch slip.ive fitted heavy duty clutch springs, plates are in good shape to.ive tried different oils mineral and synthetic.sorta come to think u cant thrash the old girl, but it handles like a dream and makes u think u can stay with the more modern bikes

Bryanj:
Clutch slip is not normal at all on a 400, but exactly what is causing it i would not like to hazard a guess

ka-ja:
Hi,
One thing to check would be the clutch end float, also, make sure the odd-ball friction plate is in the right position, I agree that clutch slip is uncommon on 400/4's even with tuned engines

Norniron:
Ok thanks lads, will check it out soon
