Drive chain sprocket
« on: August 28, 2013, 04:26:25 PM »
Hi All
Just started to do an engine strip, it will be slow coz I have other jobs on the go. I have taken a look at the front drive sprocket, and this seems loose but there is no adjustment. should this be a tight fit with no movement? (side to side movement approximately 4mm)
Many thanks for your input.

Hi john a bit of play is acceptable I think, not sure about 4mm, could be due to pattern sprocket ?, cheers  ;) Mick

;) yes same as mick says  no worries a bit of side play is ok just make sure the two securing bolts and locking washer are nipped up tight, even then the sprocket will feel a bit loose  ::)
