Hi Billy my wire harness wasnt the best so i bought a new one from DS, you probably could repair your old one no problem maybe cut the wires back a bit to get good wire then crimp and solder new connectors on,

Only problem with solder is if you want the engine out you have to leave the genny with the frame

They won't mate with the original Honda ones but if you are rep[lacing both parts that is no problem
