The head is damaged on the other engine it has several snaped rocker cover bolts and a few with no threads. One if reasons a got the second engine.

Go with the valve change then. Have you done it before? The valve lapping I mean.

No but my dad has a few times on his norton commando. So think I should be ok. But any tips a always welcome

LesterPiglet:
The only tip I have is don't use an electric drill. Use the traditional hand tool. There is no time to be saved by going electric.
