Hi all

I have fitted many chains and sprocket in the past and never encountered a problem
Today when fitting the new chain to my dads Triumph Trophy the rivet link shattered before it mushroomed over.
Has anyone else encountered this with a JT X ring chain.Do you need a different size rivet tool for a 530 chain even though I'm positive I used the same one on my cb750 530 chain and S4 520 chain.

I've always peined the rivetts over with a ball pein hammer, never had a rivetted chain fail in that area, but my wifes cb250 nighthawk and my rebel 125 have snapped chains a few times in recent years.
