STEERING LOCK REPLACEMENT
MikeM:
cheers guys managed to get this out today and ordered a replacement.... do I have to keep anything back from this set I took out..... looks like in kit you get new spring
also on refit do the bars have to be in certain place ?
Trigger:
Nice hole Mike, and no scratches to the frame.
MikeM:
hi
yeah it came out pretty clean, tapped the disc off was quite easy, drilled as guys said until the pins just collapsed and then prised out..... not to bad a job for first time
totty:
You may need to keep the rivet and washer, the rivet that came with mine was smaller.
The spring must go with the end that is more tightly wound pushed onto the lock or it jams. You have to insert it with the key turned, but that will be obvious when you try it.
tom400f:
If you get the genuine part it comes with no spring and no rivet so you have to reuse these.
