Hi,
Been keeping an eye on ebay for a replacement engine for my 1975 400f and wondered what compatibility is with later engines - i.e. There's a 1978 one at the moment but i wasn't sure if this would fit straight in etc.
Advice very welcome please

They look the same on the model guide but I'm not sure if the 78 motor will just drop into a 75 frame, I'm sure it could be "made" to fit quite easily though if it needed to be. If it is this one the mounting points look the same to me.

That's the one - there seem to be a few appearing but I wasn't sure which engines were compatible.
Seems cheap and reasonably local so might have a stab
