On A budget Rebuild cb750

Hi Guys
Well almost come to the end of a cash limited rebuild.Out of spares now and promised her indoors not to spend any more money for a little while(in er dreams).
Can get her running soon but will wait till on my own.Just need a front caliper,Master cylinder which I may buy from a fellow member,Front rim and spokes,and thats about it.Oh Yeah one pillion footrest bolt and heatshilds they can wait.

It will be a double already got the vin plate need a number plate and it will almost be identical.Rife here in France all they care about is the frame number and as its heavily painted you can not read it so they will look at the vin plate and as long as it coinsides with the log book I have no problems.

I think that's how the BSAs were, he'd bought two of them years before and rode one to work all the time and just got the other one out for sundays and MOT with the speedo of the used one fitted temporarily.
Only one lot of tax and insurance as well.
I like your style if that's the case.

Yes plus 1 from me too. Anyone can throw ridiculous amounts of money at a resto but to do it on a shoestring (wherever possible) is what our hobby is all about, in my view.

Thanks Pete. Unlike some of  you guys I play at work and there is really f all to do here apart from sunbath or pull out weeds which makes my back ache and I am not a sun worshipper.So what I do is tinker about on the days I have jack to do and will spend all day polishing etc.Its still 27 degrees here but Sunday even though I could do a bit more I am going out on my other one to make me smile it always does.

Got my tubes so airbox will be on next along with carb cables thanks to Mick.So when the next time the old lady is out I will wake the village up with raw Honda four noise no pipes on this year as winter is coming.

Update
Well put the tank on airbox etc and thought what the hell shit or bust.Put some gas in turned it on no leaks thought drop bench and kick it.Well 2nd kick burst into life revved good and ticked over great.Removed outer tappet caps checked for oil A ok.Ran her until too hot to touch and all well.Will check tommorrow for oil dribbles etc but boy did I feel like a teenager again.Still love all this stuff missus was upstairs and all she said was bit loud are you sure?women!!!.
