I think that you've got most of it there Phil.

Just remember - do the carb balance last as any other changes in timing, carbs, will require a rebalance.

Well, it only runs! Took me a while (been a bit busy last few weeks) but eventually got around to it (after grinding weld away from rocker cover so No.2 plug would go in - don't ask  >:( ).

Carb floats all sealed up, turned it over a few times and it runs pretty well considering that's about the first time in 4-1/2 years.

No.2 is not firing (not related to the above comment) but there were some oil leaks to attend to, so I didn't run it up for too long. I'll sort the leaks and then run it properly to see if No.2 comes into play or not.

Crikey, do those original BNIB Dunstall silencers sound good. I'll try and record it for your delight   :D  :D
