Unsurprisingly our administrator decided to cut the tiresome thread.
But on forums such as this perhaps the pen is mightier than the sword and maybe the only way to a final resolution.

Well done indeed.
It's well known on this forum that yellow Hondas are the fastest ones.
Enjoy!

Hi, Does anyone know if Dyna coils will work with Pamco ignition, thanks, Sarah.
If Dyna coils are OK to replace stock coils then they will be fine. https://www.dynaonline.com/dyna-igntion-coils-set-dual-output-3ohm-dual-plug-single-fire-1/?srsltid=AfmBOoqNZzKdbwfoz73FRCf8FNFe5GDMFQW3IYmO9cuVA7DeWtOtjUHghttps://4into1.com/pamco-instructions-honda-cb350f-cb400f-cb500k-cb550-cb750/?srsltid=AfmBOopBt_ch93BkgbGIlCxfRx-xPxtuDNTFi22yQevAKXVUlJIeIsWjTechnical Information: Technology: Hall effect sensor, IGBT coil driver Dwell: Fixed, 120 degrees Coil primary resistance: 2.5 to 4.5 Ohms, dual output. They were good handlers IF the isolastic suspension was adjusted properly.
Sold one of the last ones new and after 500 miles it drank oil, multiple strip downs later we found the rocker spindles badly worn(biult from spares?)
Aye Bryan, you're correct about the ISO system, it needs extra regular maintenance as does the whole bike compared to my Honda. But the rewards in the ride. Heard it said that the heart and soul left the factory when the last ditch MK3 was on the production line, quality component suppliers were bailing out and stuff was being substituted from iffy sources. Plenty tales of chocolate cams etc. It was the Honda CB750 to blame for this of course!

Bryan, mines is a MK2, so no electric starter, but I know what you mean about the MK3 models.

Out on my Norton this morning before the midday heat becomes unbearable.
I find that this old push rod twin gives more smiles per mile than my technically superior CB750F1.

Great idea I tried it , killed it stone dead . I'm convinced it's over fuelling, because it won't have it on full choke. I've played around with float height and had it running on all 4 , but rough. Carb kits ordered so let's see when they're installed Cheers guys
Make sure the kit includes new slide needles and needle jets, because those are the bits that most often wear resulting in over rich mixture. Plus another symptom of the wear is cold starting without needing choke.

There's still a cheaper day sailing but it takes 6hr 30mins of sitting on your arse doing nowt.
So we've opted for the night crossing with a cabin. Arrives in Harwich at 6:30 in the morning so I hope it's handy for a decent onward journey.
Vast saving compared to Amsterdam-Newcastle or Rotterdam-Hull crossings.
First time on this crossing so we'll see what happens...

As John has already suggested the carbs are most probably out of synch. Once corrected you will have smooth and nice idle. I use Morgan Carbtune. https://www.carbtune.com/

Before my biking days I used the Harwich-Hook of Holland route to go to visit family in Germany but that too is gone, I think cheapo flights and more airports and the channel tunnel caused that to vanish. If you use the Calais-Dover route back be careful nobody is hiding in you top box though!
Will be using the Hook of Holland - Harwich ferry in a couple of weeks time. Stena Line still operate on that route. https://www.stenaline.co.uk/routes/harwich-hook-of-holland

Got to mention, the original seals on my F1 were a really tight and difficult to remove. Had to use a heat gun and gently work around then with a blunt tyre lever to get them out without damaging the stanchion.
Similarly the new seals were a really tight fit, used a seal driver and a plastic mallet because I was afraid of damaging them.
Maybe Honda decided the circlip is not for seal retention but added safety?

I’m trying an experiment with my 550 fork seals. For some reason the space left by Honda is deeper than the fork seals they used. So that meant either a gap above or below the seal and the circlip holding it in place. Didn’t seem right to me so I looked around and found some genuine Honda seals that were the same external and internal size but were wider in depth. Seem to remember it was an off road bike and not imported into the UK so I was forced to source some in the USA. Not tested them yet but they are double lipped as well.
Oh and they come with a spacer as well, so I can fit the standard seals if I want but with a spacer underneath. Seems like a result.
Aye, Same with me, changed mine recently and noticed the gap above the circlip. According to P.O. It still had the original seals. Fitted genuine Honda seals but gap still exists. Strange.

Better to start a new topic for electronic ignition.
Then plenty advice will likely be forthcoming from experienced members on this forum.

Seeing more and more stuff like that over here at oldtimer meetings, I believe professional restorers call it distressed paintwork finish.
Spent a fortune in the past making things shiny, now this is becoming the new trend for old stuff being newly renovated.
Although I think it perhaps looks a bit silly on newish stuff that wants to pretend to look older.
Here's an example of two old Indians, first one has newly done distressed paint work.
