Looking at the cable routing diagrams in the files section it looks like the main wiring loom goes under the lower part of the triple tree/lower yoke? Is this correct?

As the title really how much spoke tension? I've got my wheels re-spoked with new stainless rims from CWC but just how much tension is needed on the spokes? There running fairly true but there's a bit of a 'kick' where the weld is which I can't seem to do much about

I thought these bikes required mineral oil but I'm struggling to find mineral oil that's motorcycle specific? So do I go for non motorcycle mineral oil, semi synthetic motorcycle oil or keep looking!

I've just cleaned my handle bar clamps ready to refit them and noticed a dot to one side. I'm guessing this is for orientation but do they go fore or aft?

So I'm (slowly) starting to rebuild my 550F1. The long bolts that go through the frame and engine/gearbox casings are corroded on the heads and have been poorly painted over in the past. What do people do with these? I was thinking of taking them back to bare metal and then maybe painting them with Cerakote in silver or something similar?
Thoughts?

So my 550F1 has a cracked brake lining. I've already taken the rim and spokes from the hub as I'm replacing the rim anyway. Seams a little silly to rebuild the wheel with a cracked lining now I'm at this point. I know there are lots of threads on here about relining the hubs but some are very old. Basically is there anyone currently replacing these?

So I thought I'd put a little about progress on my CB550. Having stripped the majority of it the frame has been powder coated. I rebuilt the forks a while ago and today assembled them to the frame. Progress from here on will probably be somewhat slower!

So when I got my engine out if the frame 3 bolts were totally seized and I had to saw them off. Now I'm removing them from the crankcase one of them has expanded with corrosion so much it's cracked the aluminium. I'm thinking I need a talented person with a TIG welder? To be fair when I put a nut in there it has nearly 5/6 contact on the face.
Help, advice and options all welcome!!

I found this u shaped spacer/packer around my brake cam when I stripped the drum. I'm guessing this isn't standard Honda? Question is did the PO run out of adjustment so put this in instead of buying new shoes or something else?

What should the finish be on my front axle? It's quite rusty atm. What do people do with them to keep them looking good? I'm guessing zinc plate or something?
