Put a small torch into the reservoir and see if light comes through to holes

Depends how critical the charging current and voltage is, our old style regulators are not good enough for li on so definately not sure about the sodium

Never heard of that one Ken, perhaps i worked in a less theivefull area, from that info suggests the ignition switch contacts are bad so try unplugging the switch connector block and jumping red to black, if it all lights up then the contacts are duff so new switch or Emgo contact unit but i would fit a relay

Then something is wired wrong as only 3 fuses do anything
1 main
2 tail and instruments
3 head

The other 2 are spares

Not sure what you mean by fuse between fuses, the diode is only for thestarter interlock(neutral light on OR clutch lever pulled in)
It is not unusual for the block connector to come loose on ignition switch and/or the contacts in the switch part to fail

Thats not a "later" one its an aftermarket one, they can be very unreliable and it only take a fraction of a second of reversed polarity to wreck them

Correct glass fuses have been getting hardercand harder to find in correct size, if you go to US site and look up Hondaman he mahes and sells a replacement that takes the blade type fuses

DS first "pattern" seats were plastic based and tended to rock a bit front to back, i have an unused one somewhere for a 500

Usa k2 should have twin filament front bulbs where the 5watt comes on as a running light, indicators frequently wont work properly unless engine is running and charging the battery
