That's a nice bike you've bought off Pete. I remember many emails between Pete and myself back when he was having issues with the original restorer, I helped out by advising him where to get it all sorted out properly. It's nice it found a new home with a forum member.
I will always be grateful for the encouragement you gave me julie, when roger the dodger played funny buggers. Hope he enjoyed spending his ill gotten gains.hopefully karma will come knocking at his door in the near future. If it wasn't for health issues with both me and my flattie I would never have moved the bike on.Robert has been an absolute gentleman and I hope he has many happy miles riding the wee beaut.
I'm sure Roger would rather have karma knocking on his door than you knocking on it Pete 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Jerry If you see this post, your email has been hacked. Just had a strange email from you asking me to buy an Airbnb Gift Card for a sick relative 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I turned 65 a couple of weeks back, have been riding since 17. I still love riding and feel I'm still very capable of doing so safely. My bikes are feeling a lot heavier to push around these days but once riding, it still feel so good. Paracetamol and Ibuprofen are now an integral part of a ride out. I don't ride as often as I did and having been a total non pillion for so many years, I quite enjoy it now when we go off on our long trips across Europe. I know I'll keep riding for as long as I possibly can safely but I can see the size / weight of bike will gradually decrease as time goes by.

Yes, that's how they are. Well, the drill hole looks correct.

On main A roads, motorways etc, regardless of the country we're in, it's jeans and Goretex bike jackets . When pootling around on small roads, regardless of which country we're in, it's shorts and T shirts.

Waiting for a ferry across the river Rhine in Germany.
Glad we arrive here after the heat wave, 25c now and acceptable for motorcycling.
We rode over the Rhine yesterday on the way back to UK. We rode down to the Alps on the Transalp, mainly spending time in Switzerland and the Black Forest in Germany arrived back up in Belgium tonight, then back to UK tomorrow. You're lucky the temperature has dropped. The temp was great up Stelvio Pass and all the other high Alps passes but otherwise it's been sweltering. There was talk that it wouldn't go ahead for this year due to lack of volunteers, that was back in March, but it's definitely on. https://www.bartonbikenight.org/

I have stock of OEM clock cushions for the 400 and 500, also the 550F but you've already said the 550 cushions are too big for your clocks.
