My K3 was always a pig to start even with carbs stripped and cleaned thoroughly. I increased the pilot jets from 42 to 45’s. End of starting issues and runs great.

Fitted a new one on my K3 frame just to comply with correctness! How many times have I used it in the last 8 or so years? To be fair if the bikes outside I’m usually on it, then it’s back in the shed. Reasonably easy job to do.😜

If you zoom in on the offside side panel, I’m quite sure that is not a Honda finnish on that paintwork! Nevertheless a good bike for someone.👍

Hi Badger and welcome to the forum. I am the other Orkney member on here. I currently have 2.5 550’s. Late 74 K1, 77 K3 (both restored) and another skip 550 that hopefully someday might be something that resembles a viable build! 😜 Lovely collection of bikes there. Very nice!👍

I also have had the exactly same thing happen to me a few times in the past. I nearly always run with headlight on and sure enough that’s enough to blow the main fuse with the extra resistance at the poor fuse connections. Easily sorted with good clean and a little bending of the tabs at the fuse ends. Going to replace with blade fuse box at some stage. Not bothered about originality behind the panel in pursuit of reliability.

I'm coming up 67, the thing I struggle with most is coming to a stop at a roundabout, looking right and trying to stop without a wobble the last two meters. Thought it was the swing arm bearings, had, the suspension apart re greased bushes, no play. Front end is nice and tight as well.
I guess it's just me.....
